What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a site. Browser local storage (localStorage) serves the same purpose and is where Runilo remembers your choices. We group them into necessary, analytics and marketing.
Necessary
The service does not work without these and they cannot be switched off: your cookie-bar choice (runilo_cookie_consent), account sign-in tokens (runilo.access, runilo.refresh), the identifier of anonymously uploaded routes, editor settings (colours, map type, language, arrows, roadbook options), the temporary state of the route you are editing in the current tab, and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile protection cookies on sign-in and registration. During payment Stripe sets its own necessary cookies to secure the transaction.
Analytics
Only with your consent we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (cookies _ga, _ga_*), which show us in anonymised form which features are used and where visitors run into problems.
Marketing
Only with your consent we show partner banners in the editor and fire marketing tags through Google Tag Manager. Partner discount codes are shown even without consent, but without any tracking of you personally; impressions and clicks are counted anonymously.
Third-party content
The editor demo video plays from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and loads only after you press play. Map tiles and routing come from Freemap.sk, OpenStreetMap, Esri, BRouter, Open-Meteo and Photon; these services may set their own technical cookies.
How to change your choice
Change your consent at any time via the Cookie settings link in the site footer or in the editor's right-hand panel. You can also delete cookies and storage in your browser settings; that signs you out and clears the saved editor settings. A stored choice is valid for 12 months; after that the cookie bar appears again and we ask for your choice anew.
